How to Apply

Application for Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships for the 2024/25 academic year is now open and the deadline for submitting applications is 16:00 GMT on  28th March 2024. Candidates who wish to apply for this scholarship should follow the steps outlined below:

Although the Scholarship offers just one scholarship, applicants can apply for more than one course or university.

Kindly note that all applications must be made online. On the scholarship portal, applications submitted through other mediums other than the online application system will not be accepted. 


Do I require an IELTS certificate for this scholarship?

Students who intend to apply for a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship may not necessarily have an IELTS certificate or any other English language certificate. Nevertheless, there are UK universities that specify that candidates must have an IELTS certificate and be proficient in the English language.
